Not all grief is obvious. Some losses aren’t recognised by others—or even by ourselves—as something we're 'allowed' to grieve.
Maybe it was a change in lifestyle, a move, a shift in identity or independence, or the quiet goodbye to a season of life that meant something deeply personal.
This kind of grief is called disenfranchised grief—when the world doesn’t acknowledge the loss, but you feel it anyway.
Today’s tapping practice is for those hidden hurts. The ones that deserve tenderness, even if no one else sees them.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping for short) is a way of sending calming signals to the Nervous System, whilst also being mindfully in tune to your emotions and thoughts. It can be an effective way of helping your body process the physical feelings of the stress, and help your mind find a more peaceful and helpful belief. Give it a try, and see how you feel.
