NEW ADHD GROUPS LAUNCHING
Psychologist Janelle Booker was a recent guest on “The Imperfects” podcast, discussing what it’s like to live with ADHD. I am so very excited to announce that I will be partnering with Janelle to extend her ADHD Group initiatives. If you’d like to hear the podcast, here is the link.
ABOUT THE GROUP PROGRAM
YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A DIAGNOSIS. Many people who have (or suspect they have) ADHD find it takes a long time for them to access the diagnosis, for many reasons. If you're struggling with executive dysfunction and suspect you do have ADHD, then you are very welcome to join the group.
The upcoming ADHD Group Sessions are designed to provide support, strategies, and a sense of community for adults navigating ADHD.
Research shows that structured group therapy enhances self-awareness, emotional regulation, and executive functioning by combining psycho-education with shared experiences.
Our sessions integrate evidence-based approaches, including Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and emotion regulation techniques, to help you develop practical tools for daily life. Whether you're seeking better focus, improved self-compassion, or meaningful connections, this group offers a supportive space for growth.
INVESTMENT/DATES/TIMES:
Group sessions will host up to 12 people via Telehealth/Online Zoom (in person sessions may be offered to local folks if numbers allow), and run for approx. 90mins duration. Session times have yet to be determined but participants preferences will be considered- so please contact to express your interest and advise of best times for you.
The fee is $110 per 90 minute session for 8 weeks (total of $880). A Medicate rebate (total of $338.80) is available for eligible clients for in-person sessions.
If demand allows, in person sessions will be offered in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area. Medicare rebates may be available to eligible persons for in person sessions.

ABOUT RACHAEL (Group Facilitator):
Hi, I’m Rachael, your ADHD & HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) ally!
Life in our Newcastle home is a beautiful blend of chaos and connection—shared with my husband, our three amazing teenage boys, and two mini schnauzers. With a mix of neurodiverse and neurotypical minds in our family, I understand firsthand both the joys and challenges of navigating life beyond just the labels of diagnosis and treatment.
As a psychologist with over 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through some of life’s toughest moments—helping them build deeper connections, rediscover their strengths, and create lives that truly feel like their own.
My work primarily focuses on individuals healing from trauma and couples navigating relationship challenges, but I also have a deep passion for supporting those with ADHD and people who have a high sensitivity trait (HSP).
I know what it’s like to search for clarity, wrestle with motivation, and strive for balance between self-care and perfectionism. That’s why I take a compassionate, creative, and strengths-based approach—one that blends evidence-based strategies with real-world understanding (and some fun).
Through my ADHD group sessions, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered on your journey to self-discovery. I can’t wait to meet you!
